Each of us has unique strengths which we can harness to our own benefit and that of others. This masterclass focuses on rewiring our mind sets towards a positive outlook, using the Strengths Focus and Spotting Approach. The Strengths Focus and Spotting Approach is our own sense of mastery. It encourages engagement and achievements, and our well-being in many other ways.
Humans are wired to connect. Our brains naturally relate and connect to other people, which is essential for our survival. Connections with other people help us grow, learn, and form an understanding of who we are in the world we live in. This masterclass helps us understand why implementing strengths-based initiatives in our homes, workplaces and interactions improves the role of mindfulness, self-awareness, self-regulation, self-responsibility, and skills development in successful strengths implementation.
How many of us think mindfully before we respond, ask a question, or speak? In this masterclass, I invite you to take a step back and reflect on how we could enrich our relationships with loved ones – our partners, siblings, parents, children, friends and colleagues. Responding to good and bad news, shared by someone we love, with interest, positive gestures, positive emotions (though our facial expressions), and encouraging tones gives the person a great sense of belonging.

In Mindfulness based strategic awareness training, the adjective strategic represents an evaluative and discriminative quality of awareness; the ability to know what is good or wrong. Mindful or mind full? Mindfulness means immersing one’s self completely in the moment. This masterclass is an introduction to information and techniques to help you understand how the mind works, and how to manage negative emotions and stress. You’ll learn how a culture of gratitude and appreciation is cultivated through the technique of mindfulness.

We stop thinking about what we are doing; what our plans are; what the end goal is; what our purpose in life is; what our sense of achievement is. Then we are no longer mindful about our actions. When we DEFAULT to AUTOMATIC PILOT MODE, we have no recollection of purpose. This masterclass aims to introduce Habit Hacking to counter our daily bad habits and convert them into mindful and good habits.

This masterclass comprises of a framework for positive design of the three main components of subjective well-being: pleasure, personal significance, and virtue. Each component represents an ingredient essential to happiness, and we propose that a design that expressly includes all three components of well-being, is the one that promotes positive emotions, positive psychological functioning, and positive social functioning.
